Essence

The essence of capitalism is that certain individuals take everything for themselves, and then try to convince the rest of us that this is how it should be. If they aren’t able to convince us, they resort to pepper spay, batons, water guns, police, etc…

Switch

By switching to capitalism, Eastern Europe acquired some new categories of people that it didn’t have before – homeless, beggars, bandits, hungry workers, etc.

Capitalists

I wouldn’t want to be a capitalist in Balkans: people will remember, and then they’re finished!

Refusal

All we can do to preserve our dignity in capitalism is to refuse to play the game and become merchandise.

Experience

We didn’t believe Marx’s descriptions of capitalism: Now we can experience it first-hand – unfortunately, on our own skins.

Morality

In capitalism, only the poor possess moral integrity and honesty.

Price is right

If the price is right… There’s no such thing as intellectual integrity and honesty.

Marx was right

Marx wrote, some 150 years ago that “capitalism, if it wants to be sustainable, has to penetrate to each corner of our planet and submit it to its way of operating. When, in the end, capitalism penetrates all the markets (e.g. becomes global), it will start lacking space for expansion (and exploitation, op.ed.) and that would lead to its final collapse.” He was right.

Progress

Capitalism set back human progress for some five centuries. Without it, we’d be living on Mars right now.

Essence

The essence of capitalism is in resale: buy/produce cheap, sell for much more. In small portions.
