I’ve noticed that most social media users use it as an Internet filter of some kind. Someone should explain to them that the Internet has more to offer than social media, and that is not necessary to access all of its contents through it.
Considering all the platforms for self-publishing these days (social networks, blogs, forums, etc), it seems that most people don’t have much to add to the conversation. The Internet is in dire need of editors.
90% of web sites on the Net are – dead. People try something, it doesn’t work (i.e. doesn’t make money), and they abandon it. Those sites are still on some servers, unvisited and unwanted, to clog search engines. This is the case with all businesses out there, as well.
