An argument for the afterlife: if this life is all there is, it would be quite meaningless to live. Then again, who said that it shouldn’t be?

Formal religion was always on my blind side: most of this is due to my socialist-atheist upbringing, and also to the fact that there isn’t any proof of whatever religions are talking about. However, I always believed that the human spirit is limited, that human progress is happening within pre-defined boundaries, and thus there are things that aren’t given to the human spirit to know, therefore, we shouldn’t write/think/contemplate such things. I believe that this is faith, at its core.
