My ex called me today, only to say that my mere existence is messing her life up, despite that we haven’t heard from each other in months, and live far away from each other. Does that mean that I should kill myself, in order to make her happy?
If only one Christmas sale doesn’t pan out, that would create a huge economic crisis in the US. I can’t even imagine what bombing them by a hundred-fold superior military country would do (e.g. US bombing Serbia). There’s no empathy in this cruel world.
If all first-generation immigrants were to return to their respective countries of origin, the US would economically collapse immediately. What keeps them in here is the lack of an alternative.
If I were to be born again, I’d probably make the same mistakes. Does this speak of the predeterminism of life or about my inability to learn from my own experience?
