When I was a kid, my biggest literary influences were comic books (those cheap ones: Marvel, superheroes, etc). I think that I even learned to read by reading those. And they say that comics are trivial!

They say that a good product doesn’t need advertising. Judging by the number of commercials on TV, it seems that the production quality is taking a nose-dive.
In order not to offend them, a good portraitist is painting people the way they perceive themselves, not as they are in reality. Thus portraits of famous people aren’t valid historical documents.
