Things should work in concert with each other. Like in Assembly theory, we replace complexity with compatibility, we measure how much things work in concert.

One thing that I regret the most is not having the support/means to dedicate myself to a small, specific area of expertise (e.g. chess, anything, really). Instead, not having it, I had to cover all the bases, in order to survive.
